Employees of Sponsor (as defined below), and its affiliates, Mizani USA ("Promotional Partner") respective parents, affiliates subsidiaries, and advertising and promotion agencies, and members of the immediate family (parent, spouse, child and sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and those living in the same household, whether or not related, of any of the above, are not eligible to participate or win the prize. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the judges and/or Sponsor, which are binding and final on matters relating to this Promotion. Promotion is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.

TO ENTER: Between 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on March 10, 2008 and 11:59 p.m. ET on *May 30, 2008 (the "Entry Period"), and 12:01 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) on June 15, 2008 and 11:59 p.m. ET on July 15, 2008 (whereas Sponsor’s computer is the official time-keeping device for the Contest), Sponsors will conduct an essay contest asking entrants to submit a brief 250 type-written word essay, along with photographs, describing “why your salon is a star” (“Topic”). To enter, participants must log on to the Contest page of the AMBERmag.com website, located at http://www.isyoursalonastar.ambermag.com (the "Website"), during the Promotional Period. All entrants must upload a typewritten essay of no more than two-hundred fifty (250) words in length (the "Essay"), and five to six images (no larger than 5” x 7” or 1 mb), which focuses on and illustrate the Topic described herein. Essays must be the entrants' original, previously unpublished work and all entries become the property of Sponsors. Photographs must be owned by entrant or have permission by photographer and person within the photographed for entrant to use. Entries will not be acknowledged or returned and may be used by Sponsors in any manner or media in perpetuity without compensation. Essays must be written in English and any plagiarism and/or failure to properly identify non-original material by an entrant will result in such entrant's disqualification. Essays containing quotations or copyrighted materials which are not properly identified will also be disqualified. All words in the Essay except the title shall be counted towards the word limit. Essays and supplemental materials that Sponsors and/or the judges deem, in their sole discretion, to be inappropriate or obscene will be void. Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from any person and/or duplicate entries will be deemed void.

No mechanical reproductions, online entries, or facsimiles will be accepted by Sponsors and all such entries will be void. Sponsors are not responsible for misdirected, inaccurate, incomplete, lost, late, delayed, undelivered, damaged or illegible entries, and all such entries will be void. Sponsors are also not responsible for technical, hardware, or software failures of any kind, or other errors or problems which may occur in connection with or relating to the Contest, whether computer, network, technical, mechanical, typographical, printing, human or otherwise, including, without limitation, errors or problems which may occur in connection with the administration of the Contest, the processing or judging of entries, the announcement of the prizes, in any Contest-related materials or that may limit prize fulfillment or a participant's ability to enter the Contest. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, modify or prematurely conclude the Contest should any computer virus, malfunction, fraud, tampering, unauthorized intervention or other cause beyond their control corrupt the administration, security or proper operation of the Contest. If the Contest is cancelled, Sponsors may, in their sole discretion, judge all eligible entries received up to time of such action using the judging procedures outlined below to determine either the Semi-Finalists and/or Winners. False or deceptive entries or acts will render the entrant ineligible and Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any entrant (and void his/her entry) who attempts to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest by tampering with any Website mechanism, acts in a disruptive manner or violates these Official Rules. Any attempt by an individual to deliberately damage or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be in violation of criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Sponsors reserve the right to seek remedies and damages (including attorneys' fees) from any such person(s) to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.

JUDGING: 10 (ten) finalists will be selected by a panel comprised of AMBERmag.com and Mizani representatives on or about June 10, 2008 from all eligible entries received by the dates specified above, based equally upon the following criteria: Mizani salon, salon décor, hairstyling originality, creativity, structure (how well thought out the Essay is) and relevance to the Topic. The decisions of the judges will be final and binding on all participants. From finalists, 1 (one) Grand Prize Winner and 5 (five) runners up will be selected by online voting, from June 15 until July 15, 2008. The odds of being a Winner will depend on the total number of eligible votes received during the Promotional Period. The decisions of the Sponsors and judges will be final and binding on all matters.

WINNER NOTIFICATION: Winner will be notified by Sponsors either by the telephone number or e-mail address provided on his/her Official Entry Form. Winners must also meet all eligibility requirements. Potential Winners may each be required to provide proof of identity, address and birth date, as well as execute and return an affidavit of eligibility, tax acknowledgment form, liability release and, except where prohibited by law, publicity release within ten (10) days of date of issuance either via facsimile or US certified mail in order to claim the prize. If any potential Winner fails to do so or if: (i) any prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) a potential Winner declines his or her prize, or (iii) a potential Winner is determined to be ineligible for any reason, such potential Winner will be disqualified and, at Sponsors' sole discretion, an alternate winner will be chosen from the remaining entrants.

PRIZES: One (1) Grand Prize Winner will receive a Simply Sunday Beauty event, a 4-hour invitation only reception at their salon, complimentary back massage or manicure for clients during event; local radio support for event; cocktails & hors d’oerves; beauty gift bags for clients with each purchase of service; Models for mini hair show; Mizani Educational Training and products with an approximate retail value (“ARV”) of $10,000. The five (5) remaining semi-finalists will receive Mizani products with an approximate retail value (“$100”), or substitute products of equal or greater retail value, in Sponsor's sole discretion. No substitutions, partial acceptance, transfer of prizes or cash redemptions permitted by Winners. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize of comparable or greater value in the event a described prize or any portion thereof, is unavailable for any reason whatsoever. Winners and/or their parents or legal guardians are responsible for the reporting and payment of all federal, state and local taxes incurred by acceptance and use of the prize (or any portion thereof). All prize details are at Sponsors' sole discretion. In no event will more prizes be awarded than those listed in these Official Rules.

GENERAL CONDITIONS: Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, incorrect, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered, garbled or illegible entries or email; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or malfunctions of any kind whether human, typographical, printing, mechanical, electronic or network relating to or in connection with the Promotion, including without limitation, errors or malfunctions which may occur in connection with the administration of the Promotion, the processing of entries, the announcement of the prize or in any Promotion-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Promotion. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants' or to any other person's computer related to or resulting from participating in this Promotion or downloading materials from or use of the web site. Persons who tamper with or abuse any aspect of the Promotion or website, or who are in violation of these Official Rules, as solely determined by Sponsor, will be disqualified. Should any portion of the Promotion be, in Sponsor's sole opinion, compromised by virus, worms, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or other causes which, in the sole opinion of Sponsor, corrupt or impair the administration, security, fairness or proper play, or submission of entries, Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to suspend, modify or terminate the Promotion and if terminated, at its direction, select the winner(s) from all eligible, non-suspect entries received prior to action taken. Entrants, by entering and participating in this Promotion, agree that Sponsor, and its affiliates, promotional partners and advertising and promotion agencies, and all of their respective officers, directors, employees, representatives, members, shareholders and agents (collectively, "Released Parties") will have no liability whatsoever for, and shall be held harmless by entrants against, any liability, for any injuries, losses or damages of any kind, including death, to persons, or property resulting in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, misuse or use of the prize or participation in this Promotion. In the event of a dispute regarding entries received from multiple users having the same e-mail account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.
