Ladies, my mother taught me that planning ahead was the best way to stay ahead in life. Now, whether or not she meant for me to apply that philosophy to footwear is irrelevant. Have you seen the shoes for spring 2010? According to WWD, designers have sent Footwear News sketches of shoes that will make you wish 2009 would just hurry up and end already. We’re talking colors that pop, wooden heels and feminine details like bows and flowers that will dress up any outfit. If these sketches are any indication of what’s to come, it looks like picking a favorite shoe for spring is going to be like picking a favorite Michael Jackson song; damn near impossible.—Juwon Ayaji
