This week I had the pleasure of attending the launch event for Beautiful Textures, a new line of products created especially for curly, wavy, and kinky-coily hair. Many products promise a whole lot. But after trying this line for myself, it looks like I'll be adding a few more items to my go-to hair product list!
The Road Test: Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme
What Its Made With: All of the products contain coconut, olive, and argan oil, shea and mango butter, and aloe vera, which explains why my hair totally loved the Curl Creme.
What It Smells Like: Fruit! And boy, does this stuff smell delicious; think a light mango fragrance that's not too overpowering!
How It Worked: Not only is the scent oh-so delightful, but when I used it to set my flat-twists overnight, the next morning my hair felt soft and perfectly moisturized. I've used cremes that made my hair sticky or hard, but this was not the case here. My twist-out was über defined and as the day went on, there wasn't one bit of frizz in sight (see my photo above)!

Other goodies that I received at the event include the Curl Control Defining Pudding, which is designed to enhance your natural curls, and the Tangle Taming Leave-in Conditioner, which I plan to use when I wash my hair next weekend. All of the products contain ingredients that my texture of hair truly loves.
Perhaps the best thing about the Beautiful Textures line is that all the products are less than $7.00! Charlene Bastien, Marketing Director for the line, says, "We really wanted to show that our products can deliver great results while being affordable." To that I say, "Mission: accomplished!" I loved my Beautiful Textures results and love the price point too.
These products hit stores early December, just in time for the holidays, so be sure to add them to your Christmas list, ladies!
