Inside of this beautiful bottle (packaging is everything!) is a potent combination of nourishing, natural ingredients culled from all over the globe: Monoi Oil, a rare nourishing coconut oil infused with Tiare flowers, and Kukui Oil, both from Tahiti; Kalahara melon oil, which delivers antioxidants and essential nutrients (from the Kalahara desert); Ximenia Oil, used by the women from Namibia to Zimbabwe to soften coarse hair and smooth rough skin and Rouge oleifera, from the Ojon nut (found in remote rainforests of Central America), which restores shine, softness and strengthens hair. Plenty of promises that actually withstand the strand test.
I first shook the bottle to blend the oils, worked in a quarter-sized amount on my damp hair, then styled my hair. The fragrance is faint, yet sweet and is a welcome aroma each time I applied it. My dry hair found instant relief, like many oils provide. But the proof, is always once my hair dries and a few days later. Imagine my complete and utter delight that two days later both my newly transitioned kinky-curls and the still relaxed/colored strands were equally soft to the touch, had a natural sheen and were both easier to manage. Now that's what I call miracle in a bottle. $35, available at Ojon.com or Sephora stores nationwide.
