On what the 20-year anniversary of the death of her brother, Lance Owens, taught her:
As my Aunt Elaine says, ‘You never get over it, but you get through it.’ I think the most important thing I’ve learned is to not stop living. "I want to adopt an American baby though, you know what I mean, no offense. Just because there are so many kids here that need our help. My sister is a social worker, and there are just so many kids that could use a good home."
Her next film, "Joyful Noise" with Dolly Parton and KeKe Palmer hits theaters everywhere on January 13, 2012.
