Drowning & Coke Cause of Whitney's Death

Posted on May 2, 2012 By admin

Los Angeles coroner's says Whitney Houston died of an apparent drowning, but that cocaine was in her system at the time of death and contributed to her death.

The official toxicology report, released today, notes that cocaine and metabolites (alcohol or drug) were found in her body and contributed to her death. Marijuana, Benadryl, Xanax and Flexiryl, were also found in her system, but did not contribute to her death. There is cause to believe she might have had a heart attack, caused by cocaine use and she drowned as a result.

Whitney Houston died on February 12, 2012, leaving behind her daughter, Bobby Kristina, 19 and her mother Cissy Houston. Her homegoing service, which aired on network and cable televison, allowed the world to get a glimpse of the world that Whitney grew up in: The Baptist church.

She left all of her possessions to her daughter, who recently went on Oprah's Network OWN to discuss the relationship with her mother and what life is like without her.
