In an interview with Theloop21, Lisa Leslie, who still holds the record as the WNBA’s all-time leading scorer, rebounder and top-15 player of all time, shares what becoming an owner of a sports franchise means: "Of all the things I’ve been able to accomplish in basketball over the course of my career, this has to rate as the most special,” says basketball great, Leslie of her recently announced ownership investment in the WNBA franchise L.A. Sparks. The investment makes her one of just a handful of black franchise owners in all of professional sports, and puts her in the top five who are black and female (Serena and Venus, Sheila Johnson, to name a few). “With this move, my career truly has come full circle.”
