DASH, which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension, isn't actually a diet at all, in the traditional sense. Created to help those who suffer from high blood pressure, the bonus factor is that those who follow its guidelines of eating more whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean proteins, end up losing excess body fat. The TLC diet came in second.
